Our Story

When we were first made aware of the pandemic in 2020, when our world came to a screeching halt, is the moment I began making candles. Being a makeup artist for film and television for decades, I wasn’t accustomed to idleness. Being an artist to my core, I was called to create.

I cleared a space in our garage and got to work. I tested formulas, devoured any and all information I could find on the science of the craft (candlemakers are a secretive bunch!), and developed a non-toxic, clean-burning candle I could be proud of, and one that I’d happily burn in our own home! The fire was lit, and Honeywolf Mercantile was born.

I have a desire to help people get in touch with their own, unique spiritual side. This is where my candles come in. Spirituality is not one size fits all. There are traditional practices and formulas that have been passed down for centuries that we can use to better our lives. Folk magic is pervasive in every single culture around the world. American Folk Magic, particularly Southern Conjure and Rootwork is especially close to my heart, having been a practitioner in my private life for many years. From inception to completion, I put a tremendous amount of spiritual energy into each candle that I create. I do this for my customers.

Now that our business has expanded, we’ve moved into a larger, climate-controlled candle making studio where I have plenty of sacred space for inspiration and creativity. I look forward to serving my customers high-quality, pure soy wax spiritual candles for years to come. Honeywolf Mercantile is grateful for your support and we thank-you all!
